While the caravan was ensconced in London, young producer Mike Vernon spirited Boyd and a rhythm section (guitarist Buddy Guy, bassist Jimmie Lee Robinson, and drummer Fred Below) off to the studio, where Boyd ran through some of his classics (&I'm Comin' Home,& &24 Hours,& the title track) and a few less familiar items while alternating between piano and organ.
