风格:Neo-Soul,Soul,Jazz Miles Bonny (born November 7, 1980) is a record producer, singer, trumpeter, and DJ. Miles currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri. The grandson of Helen Bonny, he was born in New York, New York to Francis Bonny and Anne Grothe and grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, where he attended Teaneck High School. He moved to Lawrence, Kansas to attend Kansas University in 1999. There he began producing music and started the regional hip hop website Lawrencehiphop.com which helped bring media attention to the region's hip hop artists. Additionally, he co-founded Hip Hop group SoundsGood in 2000 with Kansas City based rapper Joe Good. In the early years of SoundsGood the group was well known in the "house party" scene, where they were known to "kill it", "throw down" and "lace crowds off". He has also worked on collaborative projects with Approach (Al Japro) and iD (The Find). During this period an internship with Sub Verse Music led Miles becoming more acquainted with the New York independent hip hop scene, which informed his ability to later start his own label, INnatesounds. In 2005 he produced "Comin For You" for rap artist Reach, which was chosen by a panel of judges including DJ Premier for Scion's NextUp competition. That same year he received international recognition in Scratch (magazine) Hydrosonic's section. In 2006, he released his 1st debut solo project, "Smell Smoke?". In 2007 he made the beat for "Call me Francois" on Sage Francis' "Human the Death Dance" album released on Epitaph Records. In 2007 he released the "Miles gets open" 7" & "Closer Love EP" in conjunction with Melting Pot Music.
