该片讲述了飞车手"大贼"接下四十万美金的赌注,要费尔德在限定时间内将货物送到达拉斯,他于是驾车在公路上飞驰。警长"黑熊"本来正忙着为儿子筹备婚礼,闻讯震怒,亲自出马逮捕大贼,而准新娘加莉亦出发协助大贼,以便分取奖金,于是展开了穿州过省的飞车追逐。
