the rankins debut record is fabulous. there is such a mix of music on it. from traditional scottish songs sung in gaelic, original songs by jimmy rankin to wonderful instrumental medleys. one of the most beautiful songs on the album is the lament of the irish immigrant, a traditional irish song written by lady dufferin. it is sung solo and unaccompanied by one of the rankin women. beautiful! i highly reccomend this cd to anyone who enjoys good music.
