A psychological spy drama by Boris Frumin and Yuri Lebedev Starring Alexei Serebryakov Late 1970s. The Cold War is in full swing. The USSR and the West are struggling to obtain secret data on each other's plans. The Soviet intelligence service wants to keep their courier from exposure at the customs of the Leningrad airport. The courier delivers valuable documents procured by Russian spies in Western Europe. The intelligence service decided to plant their agent at the customs. They need a professional who is completely unknown both in Moscow and in Leningrad and who would not arouse suspicion among his future colleagues. To carry out this responsible task, the Soviet intelligence returns its experienced agent (Alexei Serebryakov) to the USSR. This spy works in Helsinki for many years. No one remembers him back home, in Russia. The agent returns to the USSR to substantiate his new alias and to complete his mission. Now he must live undercover in his own country…
