Herbert's 'Misleading Cases' involve the ancient and irrascible Albert Haddock (played years above his age by Roy Dotrice) bringing up and arguing obscure points of arcane English Law, such as the first episode whee he has tried to settle the bill by presenting a cheque written on the side of a cow. His adversary is usually Thorley Walters and the praising judge played with suitable exasperation by Alistair Sim. His long suffering wide often has to put up with the consequences of his eccentricities.
