Formed in the summer of 2003 by Michael Armine (vocals，samples，electronics), J. Matthew Weed (guitar, violin), David Grossman (bass), and Bruce McMurtrie, Jr. (drums), the group hooked up with Translation Loss Records a year later, and duly delivered their ambitious debut album, Galilean Satellites, in 2005.
