来自芬兰的首席电音DJ-“Darude达鲁”，原来只是个用个人电脑”咪咪”的大学生，偶尔在舞会上客串DJ发表自己的混音作品，因著一首人气之作“Rude Boy”，为他赢得了“The Rude”的称号，久而久之就演变成现在的艺名“Darude达鲁”。出道后，Darude一边在当地Club担任DJ外，一边创作电音。名气逐渐打响之际，遇上芬兰头号舞曲制作人JS16，因著才华两人惺惺相惜，于是JS16便自立厂牌把Darude签下来，并发行单曲，随即在当地的Club获得了相当大的回响，而且在芬兰的排行榜上停留达17周之久。不久，他的首支单曲“Sandstorm”便有如一股风暴一样，在英美引起不小的骚动，气势如虹地登上了UK金榜第3名，更一举拿下德国Echo舞曲大赏的年度舞曲大赏，自此一举成名，成为Judge Jules、Pete Tong、PvD…等人背书推荐最具影响力的电音新秀。 在2001年推出首张专辑《Before The Storm》，随著飙涨的人气，一路长红在芬兰与加拿大拿到双白金与金唱片的佳绩，全球的销售量也达80万张…2003年，Darude再次全新出碟，与老搭档JS16合作，12首新作中包括前一阵子在芬兰推出的2首冠军金曲，此外还额外收录由Tribe电音大师Superchumbo(Tom Stephan)独家混音的“Sandstorm”，加强电能令你再次感动。专辑中打头阵的便两首冠军新作之一的“Musi”，拿手的Trance曲式稳扎稳打，伴随著悠扬的旋律，颇有PvD的架势；另一首冠军之作“Next To You”，极速式的出神曲风，交错著甜美的女声，在电音劲拍之中显得欲言又止；在Ibiza时启发灵感的创作“Bitter Sweet”，仿佛日落的感动就在眼前，俨然就像BT与Robert Miles给你的感动一样；专题的同名歌曲“Rush”，静动皆宜的完美曲式，层次分明的节拍编制，是首意境深远的电音佳作；最后在高能电音中，Chill Out风格的Ending曲“Ranta”，异国音色中错杂著吉他旋律，相信可以唤起你心中原始的感动… by Drago Bonacich Finnish DJ，Producer Darude (born Ville Virtanen) started experimenting with music and DJing while still attending school, adopting the nickname of "the Rude" (later Darude) after Swedish rap star Leila K.'s "Rude Boy." Producer Jaakko Salovaara (aka JS 16), founder of the independent label 16 Inch, teamed up with him to release his first single, called "Sandstorm." British Neo-Record became involved in the newcomer project soon after.
