ROBERT CUCCIOLI is one of the most popular stars in theater today. As the Tony nominated star of the smash hit musical Jekyll and Hyde, his talents amazed all at each performance. Known not only for his talent, Robert's personality, quick wit and appreciation of the support of his fans are just some of his finer qualities. ROBERT (know as Bob to his friends) is an actor/singer who has already been recognized by the entertainment industry with multiple awards. After an illustrious career in regional theaters, roles in many television programs, and his Broadway debut as Javert in LES MISERABLES, Bob came to the work of JEKYLL AND HYDE. In 1996, Bob was presented the JOSEPH JEFFERSON AWARD for his portrayal of Jekyll/Hyde on the successful road tour of this production. This was the first of many awards. Jekyll and Hyde opened in 1997 on Broadway where Bob was quickly recognized as a leader in the theater world. He was presented with the OUTER CRITICS CIRCLE AWARD, the DRAMA DESK AWARD, and the FANY AWARD as Best Actor in a Musical and was honored with a prestigious TONY nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. In addition to his powerful performance on the Broadway Cast album of JEKYLL & HYDE, Bob's voice can also be found on the recorded ensemble work of the Kander and Ebb revue " AND THE WORLD GOES ROUND". Since Bob departed JEKYLL AND HYDE on January 3, 1999, he has been busy in many various projects which included his critically praised performance as Archibald Craven in the Sacramento Music Circus production of THE SECRET GARDEN, the starring role as The Actor in the N.J. Shakespeare Festival premiere of ENTER THE GUARDSMAN. Bob participated in a special swearing in ceremony on July 3rd in New York for new citizens. During this time, Bob starred in an episode of the popular SciFi Channel show, Sliders - playing a modern day pirate. Bob played Henry Lord in the California workshop as well as the 2002 world premiere in Denver of the new musical, Dorian. In 2000, Bob has played a Cuban Hairdresser in Sons of Don Juan, performed in his first cabaret act in Arci's in New York City, recreated his role of The Actor in the off-Broadway production of Enter The Guardsman, played Sid Sorokin in the Pittsburgh production of The Pajama Game, performed (to rave reviews) in his first Shakespeare production, Antony and Cleopatra at the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival and end the year starring in Victor/Victoria at the Paper Mill Theater in New Jersey. Bob closed 2000 by staring as Macheath (Mack the Knife) in The Threepenny Opera in New York. Bob's career continues to grow with leading roles in shows such as Carousel, Guys Bob portrayed Chief Franklin on the CBS Daytime Soap, the Guiding Light. In addition to his many acting skills, As a director Bob has directed productions of Jekyll Bob's first directorial experience of a play, The Glass Menegerie, was in 2003 at the Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey.
