old pals boomer benson and jeff collins are lumberjacks in the wisconsin woods. unbeknownst to one another, each has been courting by mail a girl, yvette, whom they met in europe during the war. jeff and boomer bid separately on a logging job, planning to tackle it together. but yvette arrives and decides she will marry the man who completes his half of the job first.
