by Joslyn LayneLondon-based pop artist Malay melds his pleasantly soulful delivery and laid-back lyrics with light electronic grooves and tabla adding some eastern. In anticipation of his debut, "Your Hate Gets Stronger" was released to radio stations in the late 1999, and an advance video of "Star" (the opening cut on his upcoming album) was sent out to stations in Fall of 2000. Malay's official full-length debut, Spitmarks on the Mirror, hit stores at the end of April 2001, with "Sandalwood Breeze" earmarked as its next single. The following month, Malay and his band of four years performed at a number of U.K. music festivals. (更多)
