简介

本片的主人公从小在森林中长大,与人猿一同生活．在母猿死后,他运用智慧取得在群猿之中的地位,成为新主．一日遇到一位迷路的探险家,将他带回文明的世界．财富、地位、美人相伴,而他却不快乐。在森林中的自由自在,与自小养成的野性使他厌倦文明社会,他将会如何选择自己的路?他的未来会有何发展?全片在截然不同的两个世界中周旋,描述了在野性与文明之间发生的一段神奇的故事,充会表现出人与兽的冲突。本片在非洲的森林中拍摄,画面优美,故事感人。
