This feature length film documents the extraordinary life and legacy of iconic Chilean singer-songwriter, Victor Jara, executed in 1973 following a military coup. On one level the film chronicles courageous efforts led by Victor's widow Joan Jara to return the censored singer to cultural life in Chile. At another level the documentary explores Victor's profound impact on artists, activists and musicians of all ages inside and outside Chile.
