grigoriy gay,grigori gaj was a russian actor of a special talent for playing sophisticated characters in stage and in film. during the 1950s-1970s he was a permanent member of the legendary troupe of bolshoi drama theatre (bdt) in st. petersburg (leningrad). gaj made a stage career under directorship of georgi tovstonogov at the bdt.
