"American Girl" is the new single by American pop music singer and songwriter Bonnie McKee, released as the first single from her upcoming second studio album, to be released in September. A viral video featuring cameo appearances by Katy Perry, Kesha, Kiss and many other artists and celebrities was released on June 26, 2013. McKee made the song available for free download through her official website after fans "liked" her Facebook page.The song will be released on iTunes in July preceding the September 1st release of McKees yet-to-be-titled sophomore album. The song was the first single released by McKee in 9 years since the 2004 single "Somebody".
