简介

“帝国唱片”是一家小型独立唱片店,现在面临着被唱片零售业寡头music city收购的危险。经理joe和以corey为首的全体员工自然一百个不愿意,当务之急是筹到足够的钱把唱片店买下来。其中好心的lucas偷走了joe的积蓄——9000美元——到大西洋城(美国著名赌场)里碰运气,谁知道一把输得精光。众人只得各出其招在一天内筹够钱,在此过程中他们内部也发生了一些有趣的小故事,还有那个让人又爱又恨的过气歌手rex,使他们对自己和同事有了更深的认识……
