with her husky, cigarette-deep voice, wright sounds like nothing so much as a young lacy j. dalton on her american debut. there's some straight country here ("the dust ain't settled yet"), but more often than not, wright's singing r&b material with steel guitars. not only does she sing the stuff, she knows how:drop her voice two octaves on "not enough love to go 'round," and she's barry white.
